I enjoy facilitating community workshops and hosting collective spaces that focus on increasing awareness of the experience of trauma and help folks build sustainable practices to move through this journey of life with joy. Please see below for current workshop opportunities.
Restorative Space
A monthly collective of helping professionals-social workers, advocates, therapists, caseworkers, educators, health care workers, etc. Are you looking for a shared space of rest and community with other helping professionals? This collective space will allow for support from experiences of secondary trauma from our work with clients and/or organizations and systems. This is an online space that encourages humor and real talk, values decolonization, and the supports the beauty of our cultural and spiritual healing practices. Increasing access to support and the redistribution of wealth is important to me. Cost is based on a justice pricing model ranging from $5-35. Before selecting your ticket type, please consider the following: -Your intersectionality with identities that have historically and currently experience oppression -Your access to privilege and intergenerational wealth -Your current employment situation and/or student status |
In addition, I have the following workshop opportunities that can be customized for the needs of your community. Please feel free to connect with me to discuss specifics.
Trauma: Understanding the Experience and Opportunities for Healing
What is trauma and how does it show up? Let’s explore the context of trauma symptoms to normalize the experience of trauma and support survivors.
In this workshop, we will:
∙ Identify the mind and body responses to traumatic experiences
∙ Learn what helps us heal from trauma
Secondary Trauma: Cultivating a Culture of Resiliency Within Ourselves and Each Other
Are we living a life that helps us sustain the work of helping others or creates more chaos? Let’s take a look at how secondary trauma (also known as vicarious trauma/compassion fatigue) may show up with us and how we can create practices to nourish ourselves and sustain the work.
In this workshop, we will:
∙ Explore personal resiliency practices to cope with secondary trauma
∙ Examine workplace culture practices that value resiliency
Resiliency: Integrating our Natural Ability to Heal into Everyday Life
Everyone experiences ups and downs during life. This is part of the human experience. How do we create practices that build our emotional immune system to handle these life circumstances with grace and compassion for ourselves?
In this workshop, we will:

∙ Try out resiliency practices, such as mindfulness, gratitude, and self-compassion
