Welcome to Joy Creek Counseling, LLC!
Thank you for visiting! I would love for you to learn a bit about me to see if we are a good fit for each other.
Before you begin, please note that all sessions are provided through telehealth (video sessions).
Experiencing trauma can take away who you used to be, and who you want to be.
What is trauma? A lot of experiences fall under this name. Abusive relationships. Grief and loss. Childhood abuse. Sexual abuse. Exposure to secondary trauma as a helping professional.
Maybe your life experiences do not fall in the trauma category. Maybe your experiences include old wounds that you can’t move past. The relationships where you feel stuck. The negative stories that you believe about yourself.
Maybe you feel changed by this pandemic and are surrounded by people who tell you to move on, get back to “normal,” and you know that you can’t go back to that. The “normal” you lived in was unhealthy and incongruent with who you are.
Thank you for joining me as you seek support through these experiences. During our work together, my hope is that you find yourself in a place of being more centered in the present, developing compassion for yourself, and rekindling creativity and joy.
